BALLET BEATS RETREAT - MEXICO
November 18-23, 2025
El Pescadero, Baja California Sur
(Near CABO SAn Lucas)
Join us for Ballet Beats’ 20th Retreat and our first time retreating in Mexico! Our retreats are an opportunity to find connection with other beautiful humans, yourself and nature. November is the perfect time to escape the hustle bustle of everyday life, to reflect on the past year and take time for yourself before December lands. Soak in the sun and feel ready to close 2025 with an open heart to receive the new year ahead. Ground, reflect, laugh, dance, eat, adventure and rest.
Kalyn found our venue when she was taking class with Annie Parr in New York. Annie fuses modern dance and yoga into an experience called MDRN Yoga. Kalyn loved the experience and wanted to learn more. Annie now lives in Mexico and started El Campo. Kalyn was instantly drawn when she saw the massive, sprung floor, dance studio/yoga shala. The seed was planted and we can’t wait for this incredible experience together.
You will leave stronger, more grounded and ready to close 2025 with a heart full of gratitude. We recognize the effort required to get there, the financial cost, the time you must set aside. We also know that the reward will be greater than you could imagine. In the words of the great Mary Oliver, "What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
We invite you to come alive. We invite you to come, exactly as you are. To be encouraged, challenged and perhaps opened up in a new way. This retreat is for you if you love being in nature, want to spend time by the ocean, want to connect with art and community, and perhaps want to dive into some personal growth opportunities. Come experience the benefits of daily Beats, yoga, mindfulness, restorative sessions, art and community.
For some of you, this is a commitment that is new, something you might have been dreaming about doing but never have. It might even feel a bit scary. We encourage you to open your heart, plant the seed, take a leap into the unknown. We invite you to trust and to know that the magic is brewing and we are counting down the days to your arrival. If you have any questions or want to speak to a real human, we are here. Please reach out to dance@balletbeats.com to set up a call or to discuss rooming options!

The dream team
Kalyn started Ballet Beats® in 2012 and in 2018 ran her first Ballet Beats® Retreat in Nosara, Costa Rica. Two of her sisters attended the retreat and everything changed. They came back the following year and it was very clear that they were meant to lead these retreats alongside their sister. Each bringing unique gifts to the retreat experience, this trio welcomes retreaters over and over with open hearts, so much love and passion and together hold space for the magic to happen.
Kalyn Swihart was born on traditional Blackfoot territory and now resides in New York City. She equally values the teachers from around the world who have guided and nurtured her, inspiring her to see beauty, create inclusion, and embody the spirit of dance, yoga and fitness. Her education in both dance and kinesiology supported the creation of Ballet Beats®, a movement syllabus rooted in the marriage of Ballet technique and fitness. Kalyn’s mission with this program is to break down all barriers - making movement accessible to all. She believes in healing through physicality and meditation through movement. Movement is medicine. Kalyn’s calling in life is to share her passion for movement. She is her student’s biggest cheerleader and has a special gift of making her students work harder than they think they can and speak to themselves with more kindness. This journey has allowed Kalyn to share her passion, build her community, and pour love and energy into her studio, virtual program, retreats and teacher training. Learn more about Kalyn HERE
