Your teacher - KAITLYN MORENCY (sher/her)
Dance has been a part of Kaitlyn’s life for as long as she can remember. Starting at just two years old, she quickly fell in love with the music, movement, and magic that comes with being in the studio. Over the years, she has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, pointe, and contemporary, earning her Intermediate and Advanced Ballet certifications and continuing her ballet training through Alberta Ballet School.
Kaitlyn’s love for teaching began through assisting teachers in classes, especially with younger dancers, as well as substitute teaching at her local dance studio. These experiences gave her the opportunity to work with dancers of different ages and abilities, and she quickly discovered how much she enjoyed helping students learn, grow, and feel confident in the studio.
Kaitlyn has also always had a genuine love for working with children. She enjoys getting to know each child’s personality, building connections, and creating a fun and welcoming environment where they feel comfortable being themselves.
After discovering Ballet Beats as a participant at a local studio, Kaitlyn instantly fell in love with its energy and the way it brings together ballet, fitness, music, and fun. Her experience with Ballet Beats inspired her to take the instructor training and share that same excitement with others.
For Kaitlyn, dance has always been about so much more than perfect technique. It is about confidence, self expression, having fun, and getting lost in the music. Her goal is to create a welcoming space where dancers can be themselves, try something new, and leave class feeling proud and energized.
Kaitlyn is so excited to bring her love of dance, big energy, and passion for Ballet Beats to every class. She can’t wait to dance with you! ✨
